BEFORE Typical builder grade vanity and tub deck, both with 3" tile and brass fixtures. Completing the look: linoleum flooring
BEFORE The tub deck took up a massive amount of real estate in this large bathroom. Adjusting window shades for privacy required hopping into the tub.
BEFORE Typical fiberglass shower one piece with curious angles. A nice size but not enough dedicated storage for soaps and shampoos.
AFTER Focal point of this bathroom is now the beautiful slipper tub. Look how much larger this bathroom feels. Porcelain "planks" that mimic the home's hardwoods replace the vinyl flooring. Vanity is same base cabinet: new doors and drawer faces, taller deck and several coats of paint have transformed it.
AFTER Several changes and additions were made to this room's lighting plan. Inset medicine cabinets are flanked by new sconces. Recessed cans relocated to be centered over sinks. The counter's 3" tile has been replaced with large scale white tile and glass accent backsplash.
AFTER Remember the 3 foot high pony wall separating the toilet from the vanity? Extending this wall to the ceiling brings the eye up and just makes the whole room feel sleeker and more up-to-date. Adding the custom glass window keeps the access to natural light.
AFTER Wall behind the tub was opened and framed in order to add custom shelving. The glass accent tile and simple glass shelves gives the homeowners additional storage and display areas.
AFTER Fiberglass shower removed. New shower floor, bench and the addition of three storage niches make this a very practical shower. Simple white tile (glass accent tile line the shampoo niches) keep this space classic and clean looking. Changing all hardware to the soft brushed nickel also updates the entire space.
AFTER Color scheme of remodeled bath flows through to the master bedroom.
AFTER Beautiful bathroom with lots of lighting options. New materials and colors emphasize the natural light and spacious layout.
ALL ABOUT THE TUB
Finding just the right tub was an important component of this bathroom remodel. The homeowners did the research and a fair amount of the labor on this remodel.
