AFTER. The footprint has remained the same but the completed remodel is a transformation. Beautiful new surfaces and increased function make these two areas a truly pleasurable way to start and end each day.
BEFORE Original lighting fixtures were overhead, new fixtures are placed on either side of the vanity mirrors.
Original vinyl and carpet flooring is replaced with travertine in the bathroom and bamboo in the bedroom.
BEFORE Original bath had very little countertop space and no drawer storage.
AFTER The "banjo configuration" of the new solid surface counter top really increases the surface area. Note the heated towel warmer and custom wall cabinet.
AFTER Fresh paint and crown molding.
AFTER A tall 22" x 42" custom mirror centered above the new "off-center" sink maximizes the light and height of the room.
BEFORE Original shower had a dropped ceiling, no light fixture and did not maximize the wall space available.
AFTER Dropped ceiling removed, light fixture added, shower height raised and new frameless glass doors all maximize every inch of the shower.
Glass and stone mosaic backsplash pulls all the new material colors together - stone, cabinet, floors, and countertop.
Travertine liner tiles band the backsplash and the tile accent wall in the shower.
ADDING GLAMOUR TO A MASTER BATH
The original bath and vanity of a master bedroom is a complete tear down. Collaborating with the homeowners was a wonderful process of carefully selecting every element that came back into the space. The husband kept his area clean and contemporary, the wife added elements with a touch of glamour to her vanity area.
