BEFORE This sunken shower must have been quite the conversation starter when it was installed in the mid 1960's. Unfortunately, there was no barrier to keep the homeowners from falling into the shower, especially late at night. Safety concerns and a desire for more functional layout of the combination master bathroom/closet/laundry room prompted this project.
BEFORE The remodel included removing all these partial walls but keeping most of the plumbing lines close to the original locations.
BEFORE Original layout was a wall of sliding mirrors that hid the closet and stacked washer/dryer. Not the most efficient use of the large space.
BEFORE Original vanity was low, very low! One sink, two windows, very little practical storage, and many light fixtures in odd locations.
AFTER Here's a view from the master bedroom. Beautiful Cherry vanity with two sinks and loads of customized storage behind every door. Porcelain floor tiles and radiant heat replaced the carpet. Solid surface quartz counters throughout the space keep the palette clean and simple.
AFTER Note the new window which provides lots of morning light. Custom linen storage next to the shower enclosure. Note the heated towel racks...this model swivels so that a toasty towel is within easy reach.
AFTER This large shower enclosure is well lit with bench, plenty of shampoo niches and handheld shower. Simple tile design emphasizes vertical elements...keeping the space feeling tall!
AFTER New laundry area incorporates storage, hanging rod and an area to fold. Adjacent to the new custom closet, this laundry location was perfect for these empty nesters.
AFTER A careful inventory and custom closet design from the Closet Factory resulted in the perfect closet - both in the bathroom and in the additional small closet in the bedroom. A place for everything and everything.....
